This project by Maia Harris and Emily Stuchbery presents annotated recordings from the first Ultimatum Montreal Urban Poetry Festival, held in May 1985 at Foufounes Électriques. Drawing on eighteen reel-to-reel recordings, the project documents Montreal’s avant-underground literary scene and makes experimental poetry performances from the festival accessible for listening and research.
